David and Beulah

Misc.

Hi David...
I too enjoy your home-spun sagas and recipes. You might share with
Beulah that we (her daughter & son) are putting together a surprise birthday party celebration for my Mother's 90th birthday. We will prepare some of her favorite desserts to serve to a large group of relatives who will be coming
from all over. I plan to make Beulah's cobbler recipe and your blueberry pie...both of which are some of her most favorite deserts!
My mother has been a cooking, baking and canning all of her life. She lives in Wenatchee, WA which is located in Central Washington, very much an agricultural area and they promote that valley as being the "apple capital" of the world.
My father raised apples, pears, cherries and soft fruits for about 65 years. My Dad passed on nearly 4 years ago but my Mom still does canning and freezing!
Thanks Beulah and David for the very special recipes. Think of
Mom (Mamie)on August 21st...I know she will be enjoying your cobbler and David's blueberry pie (with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream)! It's wonderful to be able to meet people from all over by means of the net...Many of them VERY fine people! (I asked Mom if she would like to have a computer - although I don't think she really knows much about computers... and her answer was, YES!) Best wishes to you both.
