Going to visit Beulah!

Misc.

Hello Friends,
I THANK YOU all for your posts to Beulah's recipes. I will be seeing her about 2 in the afternoon tomorrow, and I already know she's so excited about reading about responses from her "Cobbler" recipe.
I was going to work this morning, and Beulah lives just on the outskirts of Orange, Virginia, in a very small house. I was driving down the road and saw her standing by her mailbox checking for mail...but she wasn't checking for mail, she was acting like she was. The mail isn't delivered to her until 3 or so of the afternoon. Beulah was watchin' to see my car...I saw her hands flapping as I got closer. I pulled over and just gave her my "Hi Mz. Beulah", whatcha doing up here at the road on such a hot day? She just stuck her head in my window and said "Yer still gonna be by here 'morrow now aren't ya"? "I gotta just give your momma a mess of salads that I want you to take to her".
The short conversation went on to my telling Beulah I would indeed be by her house at 2 the following day. Indeed, she was worried that she might be passed by or forgotten about our given appointment. I know that my visit to her tomorrow and reading your post from TKL will be one of the highlights of her world. I will read every single word of all your post to her, and I know that it's going to make her feel like a million bucks.
I also know that Beulah will share more of her world with me. I am in awe of her resiliance and her sense of survival that she has endured in her life.
Her life force is so great, and I just wish she was able to meet all of you on TKL in person, she's a very special person.
I have a big story to tell you all, and it's how I came to meet Beulah, and I guess I will put that story aside for now,... I'm tired! It's nearly 1 in the morning and I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. So, I need to run to bed.

Peace To All On TKL,
Beulah, I am sure is in sweet slumber!

Your Friend In The South,
David In Virginia
