Excellent Meat Substitutes

Misc.
About three years ago when I decidedd to go vegetarian for health reasons, I furiously searched for passable meat-replacements, because I just couldn't see living without my favorite dishes.

During that search, I discovered a meat-replacement by Heartline, called "Meatless Meats". It is a reconstituted, soy-based meat replacement, that comes in many different varieties (ie ground beef style, pepperoni, chicken) and tastes almost exactly like the real thing -- even the texture is similar!

Because I am very picky about things like this, I wanted to pass it on. Their products can be found in most health food stores, and they have a terrific website (which is where I do most of my ordering). You can find it at http://www.soybean.com/

Hope this helps some poor vegetarian "wanna-be" out there who know it is the right thing to do, but doesn't want to sacrifice their favorite meals. I know I am much happier now! :-)

PS I even served a Shepherd's Pie to my inlaws one evening made from the ground beef, and they thought I had given up on vegetarianism because I was eating meat!

PPS Yves Burger Burgers are pretty great, too!
