Pork loin that we like to prepare in a smoker. I love rubs! Last night I recived my May/June issue of Saveur. I usually check out all the recipes first but the articles caught my eye right away. There is an article that an historian wrote about her homeland Cuba. I was very touched and her writing reminded me of your post. So descriptive of the culture, people and foods of course. Next an article about Ingrid Bengis, which I recognized from My French Laundry Cookbook. The recipes made me think of your post yesterday about 'visiting' other cultures through your upcoming menus. Very interesting story about Ingrid "the country's most intellectual fishmonger almost by accident".Anyway, a must see issue and DH is due home tonight so I will be posting our menus and recipes from now on. I know this post probably should be somewhere else but It reminded me of you and had to share it. Thank you for all you share! Janie
