Great ideas!!!

Misc.

As usual, I am impressed with the ideas already posted.

A couple additional thoughts, depending on the group, of course...

Each person might--

--tell about when/how they first met the bride or groom
or
--share a funny (but nice) story about the bride or groom
or
--tell about the worst date they ever had
or
--tell about the worst cooking disaster they ever had
or
--tell about the most embarrasing moment they experienced or witnessed

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Another rather innocent game you might play is to gather 5 or six photographs of the bride at various ages. The assignment for the guests will be to guess the bride's age at the time the photograph was taken. This is oftentimes tough with junior high + photos. You could have the photos enlarged at a copy center and post them around your living and dining room as part of our shower decorations.
I especially like the tip about asking the bride's preferences for this event.

Most of all, organize your event so you are relaxed and having fun. It is much easier for guests to relax and have fun when the hostess is doing the same!
