Has anyone made Pete fours??

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has actually made pete fours and want to give me any tips or suggesetions?? i did them WAY back but mom was around ..... i can't remember a thing. I have a recipe -- several but if you have done them and want to share a tried and true recipe or if you have first hand knowlege from a person known to you and want to pass that on .... :)

I will do them this week in any case i just thought it there was anyone with some tips i could use em.

We are having a Christmas tea for my little Jo(8 turning 9) and the suprise part is that it will be an early b-day party for her -- wish me luck!

anyone care to share ideas or tips?? i kinda have a plan but can change at the drop of a tip or two :)
