Hi Claudette!
Misc.Indeed, this is gorgeous weather! I'm patiently waiting for our big local farm stand to open up over here near us - they open 11/15, and wish it were sooner. It's a wonderful stand, big, with so many varieties of everything, but their tomatoes (they grow them)and local strawberries are the best!
I noticed last night that there's a new Panera over by Page Field. We're progressing! Now if only there would be a decent bakery somewhere other than the store bakeries, but it's probably best if there's not one nearby!
Hope you enjoy the porkchops - they smell so good cooking. I think the garlic and rosemary are the predominant flavors and smells, but all the other herbs help, too. Let me know how your husband likes them.
Have you discovered the big new GFS store over on Colonial yet? Guess it's a mid-west chain that I'm not familiar with but they specialize in restaurant size foods and supplies. I went in the other day and spotted a large bag of frozen pierogis, and we tried them. They are as good as I could ever make from scratch - much better than the regular stores have in their frozen section. I'm making 80 of them today to bring to a clubhouse dinner tonight - complete with browned onions and sour cream! I wonder how many folks will even know what they are!
Good to be home again - June
