Hi Julie! Someone mentioned...

Misc.

adding a whole lot of things to it and it reminded me (I haven't made it in
years) that fried onion - in butter of course - adds a nice touch.
Let me know if you want the cheddar crust to go with it.
I am trying to think of something typically SA for my folks to bring me - can't
come up with anything! We get Marmite, fishpaste, chocs. etc. here now.
(Of course, a few kilos of biltong fat would be great, nice healthy snack!)
Oh - you mentioned in your biltong letter that you were famous in your
neighbourhood for something else - had never heard of it! Can you remember what
it is?
My husband recently paid $5 for a miserable bit of shaved biltong. YUCK. I like
it thick and wet. (Oh, that sounds disgusting!!!!!!!)
