Hi June,

I used both the tomatoes and ketchup, just like you recommended. It was soooo yummy and comforting. We loved it and I know I will be making it often.

My wonderful DH left Keene, NH at the age of 14. He still has relatives living up there and Mom and I went to visit about 8 years ago or so and the state of NH is quite beautiful as is the New England area. I would move up there in a heartbeat!! But, alas, he does not like the cold. We went to Maine this year, another beautiful state, and I totally fell in love with the area and the people.

I remember now that on the last New England road trip I took with my Mom (we started off in the Bronx, took the highway into Connecticut, went past Mystic, kept on driving til we got to Cape Cod) we spent the night in a Cape Cod motel and awoke the next morning to the most breathtaking snowfall, and a deep one at that. It was during Easter break and I was still teaching grade school at the time. Oh my, we went out and frolicked and walked thru the snow. We just loved it!!
