Hi Sue!!!

Misc.
Hi Sue,

I know what you mean about Martha's recipes, for some reason they all lack zing!! I love Martha and her show, her ideas and her various decorating idea books but I can't go through any of her cookbooks as they are so way out there and complicated!! Give me a homey feel-at-home regional cookbook or Jr. League cookbook any time!!!

Mom was treated to a trip to Barranquitas Puerto Rico by my sister and her husband. They live in New Jersey and they all flew and met at the San Juan airport whereupon they rented a car and went to Joe's family home. This home is used at various times of the year by the various siblings.

My Mom came back utterly fascinated with this beautiful island, especially the flora and fauna of the countryside and glorious mountains. So when our dear friend Gladys describes her homeland and entertains us with her amusing and descriptive stories of her various culinary adventures, perk your ears up and enjoy the ride!!

She will be going back for 1 week in October again with my sister. She can't wait til then! I too would like to plan a trip for next year since this year's vacation is already planned for two weeks in the NC mountains.

Thanks Sue for welcoming back, I have been soooo busy getting my house back in order after getting stone tile installed in the family room and kitchen.

Best Regards, Gina
