Molten chocolate cake - pan question

Misc.
I'm making individual molten cakes for a dinner party Saturday - the kind with the liquidy centers. The recipe calls for custard or souffle cups - I don't have enough.

Has anybody had any success with muffin tins with this kind of recipe? My concern is that the heat of the metal pan may affect baking time and temp, especially since the liquid centers are so crucial to this recipe.

Any other suggestions? Let me know.

Thanks in advance.
