Old Havana and Old San Juan

Misc.
Dear Gina:

I apologize for not answering before, but I was away from Puerto Rico. I am so very glad to read about the way you feel about your roots. Cuba was the pearl of the Caribe for so many years. Cuban people are distinguished by their Old World behavior and by the richness and beauty of their land and people.

The Stefans are a wonderful example of true Cubans, who are very proud of their country and who will never forget their desire to return HOME. I have so many and so good Cuban friends, who are now Puertoricans, but who never forget their homeland. Gina, they are so distinguished, they are beautiful people, and excellent professionals. Their children are Cuban-Puertoricans, and being of a new generation, they have the best of both cultures.

If some day you come to Puerto Rico, you will be touched of how similar is the Old San Juan to the Old Havana, and to the beautiful port city of New Orleans.

By the way, I love your Picadillo, and your Nelson's Black Beans. They are excellent.

Saludos a tu mami y a tu esposo, tu amiga,

Gladys/PR
