Oopsy, Thought I was on the guest list..

Misc.

already. This is me, Tanis. I live in a little white starter home with a
beautiful garden and lots of "fur therapy." I work at a high-tech electronics
manufacuturing company (14,000 employees) as a database goddess. This is my
McJob while I am finishing up grad school. I enjoy reading, needlework, music
and travel.

My DH is a "techno-nerd" at the same company I'm at. He is a plain old farm boy
who had to burn off about 14 hours a day in order to fall asleep. Talks about
five words a day and loves any show with airplanes in it. I have one Miracle
Baby, Sarah, who just busted Mama's buttons by graduating from Iowa State
University.

We have a Maine coon cat, Buster. Also a deaf, gray tabby, Margret (named after
my shorthand teacher). Also took in a little half-siamese stray, Motorboat, who
is the ultimate adoring lap cat. We just kept stalling week by week, to keep
from taking her on to the pound. Now we couldn't part with her for money, chalk
or doughnuts.

Our furry children include one doggie--Beaucoup--"Bobo." She weighs five pounds
but doesn't know it. She is a Tibetian Spaniel. Anybody who's owned a "Tibbie"
is hooked for life.

I believe you have a choice in this old life--you can laugh or you can cry. I
choose to laugh. I also believe that Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey was right. He
said, "You know, in this life you have to be oh so clever or oh so pleasant.
For years I was clever. Now I'm pleasant."

Native Iowan, token Yankee in a family all from Kentucky and Texas. Perfect
pitch (Thank you, Daddy). Know more about computers than I ever planned on
knowing. Love chocolate anything and good company at the dinner table.
