Maine Coon in our family...

Misc.

My cousin has one and it is HUGE! I don't know how tall it stands, but I am 5'8" and it is at least up to my knee at its shoulder - weighs 32 lbs! And it is not a "fat cat" just very large! It is a very pretty cat (and I am not "cat people" so this is a real compliment!). We all have Shihtzus and this cat towers above them - it is funny! They bring it to our house to visit at Christmas and the dogs just go ape over it. The cat puts up with this for just so long, then bats those dogs, and sends them rolling across the room. After that, they keep their distance! If I was ever going to have a cat, I would get one just like it.
