Good luck with that red dirt! I also live in Texas but our dirt isn't too red. What part do you live in? I have not really found anything that will take the stains totally out but this is my typical cleaning method...Spray each garment generously with prewash stain spray and then soak in the washing machine for an entire day with a combination of bleach detergent and hot water. I usually put the laundry in the washer just as if I were going to wash them then and turn the washer on. When the washer finishes the first spin cycle (you know after the soap gets mixed up and bubbly) I turn it off and leave it until I get home from work. When I get home I turn the washer back on and hope for the best. Good luck and if you come up with something better please let me know.
