Dear Marilyn,

First, I'd like to thank dear Kathy for posting this recipe and all of the other wonderful vintage recipes she's been sharing with us!

I happen to have the Farm Journal Homemade Cookies Cookbook and the recipe does call for 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed. I made the edit to the recipe and I wish I could join you to sample those cookies Marilyn!
