Recipe: School Cafeteria Old Time Peanut Butter Cookie
Misc.SCHOOL CAFETERIA OLD TIME PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick (1/4 lb) margarine
1 tbsp water
Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
In separate bowl, mix together egg, peanut butter, white sugar, brown sugar, margarine and water. Add flour mixture. Spread in an ungreased baking pan. (Use a 9 x 12-inch pan, a smaller one will make them more cake like.)
Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cook until batter looks "set." Don't overcook.
