The reason you have trouble finding them is that all canning jars are made by the same company. Ball, Kerr, Golden Harvest, all the same company...
If you want plain ones, you may be able to buy from Pacific Coast bottling, but these jars are not as thick as canning jars, and could only be used for water bath processing. I don't suggest them, however. They also have a thinner sealing area and may even feel more rounded. These kinds of jars are meant for commercial use, not home food preserving. They are one trip, disposable jars.
We really do not recommend their use at home.
You will get more breakage with them, too, since the glass is more thin. They often shatter in a pressure canner.
