LIGHT GRAIN BREAD
FOR A 1 LB. LOAF:
3/4 cup water
2 cups Pillsbury best bread flour
1 tbsp instant nonfat dry milk
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp honey
3/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp margarine
3 tbsp wheat germ
2 tbsp shelled sunflower seeds
1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
FOR A 1 1/2 LB. LOAF:
1 1/4 cups water
3 cups Pillsbury best bread flour
1 1/2 tbsp instant nonfat dry milk
1 1/2 tbsp molasses
1 1/2 tbsp honey
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp margarine or butter
1/4 cup wheat germ
3 tbsp shelled sunflower seeds
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
If bread machine typically uses 2 cups flour, use small loaf recipe. If machine uses 3 cups flour, use large loaf recipe.
Follow manufacturer directions for loading ingredients into machine. Measure ingredients carefully.
Select regular, rapid or delayed-time bake cycle and follow manufacturer's directions for starting machine.
VARIATION:
This dough also makes excellent dinner rolls.
HIGH ALTITUDE INSTRUCTIONS:
Above 3500 feet; For small loaf, increase water by 1 to 2 tb. and decrease yeast by 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. For large loaf, increase water by 1 1/2 to 3 tb. and decrease yeast by 1/4 to 3/4 tsp. Continue as directed.
