re: Crockpot Yogurt

I have made yogurt using the oven, a picnic cooler, and a yogurt maker, but not the crockpot. Unless you can keep your crockpot at exactly 120*F (50*C) it might not work -- too warm or too cool uneven heating will interfere with the bacteria incubation. (My crockpot tends to get hotter near the walls where the heating elements are.) To make yogurt using a picnic cooler, you'll also need water, a candy thermometer, and glass jars. Let me know if you would like me to post the procedure.
