re: Freezing Rum Cake - Bjames - I'd wrap tightly and store in the refrigerator or freezer

Misc.
I don't know the technically correct answer to this, however, if it were me, I'd store it tightly wrapped in the refrigerator or freezer before glazing it, then glaze it on Thanksgiving (unless you've already glazed it)

The reason I would do this is even though the rum will somewhat preserve it, cakes that sit at room temperature begin to deteriorate in a couple of days, getting kind of "soggy" in my opinion.

Maybe someone has a more accurate answer.

Enjoy your Turkey Day - ymmmmm rum cake!!
