re: Goody-Goody hamburger sauce

Misc.
I understand you are craving a goody-goody hamburger.
I know how you feel. This is the only hamburger recipe that is independent of appetite. You just can't stop eating them, even if you're no longer hungry. Unfortunately, the Goody Goody restaurant has closed. Prior to the closing there was a two-hour wait time to get into the restaurant during its final days. My parents ate there in the mid 1930s. I remember as a child eating the cheeseburgers with the special sauce. I have been eating them for over 50 years. Over 20 years ago, I set out to duplicate the recipe. It took me three years to perfect the original recipe, and I have done so successfully. People can't believe that it tastes exactly like the original sauce served during the 50s,60s and 70s. The later versions of the sauce served on the hamburgers at the restaurant gradually changed over the years and were only distant reminder of the original sauce. Even though the sauce is unique, it also requires the proper hamburger construction method, including the deli paper used and the appropriate pickles and onions sliced in the proper fashion. You will never forget the aroma of a goody-goody hamburger as can be recalled when sniffing the paper of the wrapped burger. Seeing that the past owners paid $25,000 for the recipe over 30 years ago, I'm sure you can understand that I just can't give the recipe away. It is not available for sale.
