re: Mojo Fondue Broth
Appetizers and SnacksThis is the standard recipe I have found online for this Mojo Chicken Broth from Melting Pot. The smell was very good, but the cumin is sooooooooooooooooooooooo strong, it overpowered EVERY flavor in the broth. Maybe my tongue just became numb after the cumin and I couldn't taste anything else. (and I'll just say, I'm not a wimp when it comes to hot, spicy stuff....I just about drink hot sauce from the bottle!) The other disappointing thing was that the broth didn't flavor the chicken at all. When I bit into a piece of chicken, I tasted the cumin...that's it! It was a very bland piece of chicken. I was so disappointed with this whole fondue experience. There must be some trick or something I don't know to make the dippers absorb the flavor of the broth. If there is, please tell me. I went to the Melting Pot and loved their Mojo Fondue, so I thought it couldn't be that difficult to copy and have at home. Unfortunately, this just didn't work out for me.
Sad and disappointed :(
