Misc.Well..not sure about the club soda but if you soak onion rings in buttermilk
first, then flour them and deep fry they are lovely! Just add salt and pepper
to the flour to season it.
I think the club soda is used instead of water when making a thin batter to
coat the rings with. The soda makes the batter puff up.
