Rutabage is a Swedish Turnip

Misc.
Hi Karen,

A rutabaga is a large round root vegetable that is part of the cabbage family. A lot of times it is referred to as a turnip, but it is actually a cross between a cabbage and a turnip, it is sometimes referred to as a Swedish Turnip. I don't love the way they taste, so I just leave it out of recipes and substitute other vegetables. Hope this helps!

Take care,
Meg
