They'll enjoy it!

Misc.
I haven't checked in for a while, but wanted to share what we did for my own daughter's 12th (and 13th she liked it so well). It was the easiest, cheapest party she ever had.

She chose 6 friends (I drive an 8 passenger van) to go to the mall. The girls brought her presents, mostly cash that she could spend "at the party". They also brought some money if they wanted to buy something other than food. We took a weekday that they were out of school (less crowded) and headed for the mall first thing in the morning. At the mall, the girls were allowed to go off by themselves (they felt so grownup!) and were told to stay together and meet me at a certain time and place in the morning, at lunch time, and mid afternoon. I knew all the girls and knew that I could trust them to do as I asked, very important. They checked in at mid-morning, still totally excited about their day. At lunch time, we met at the food court and I bought lunch, the girls were still having a ball. At mid-afternoon, we met again and left for frozen yogurts on the way home.

It was also a wonderful day for me. I got some shopping done that I needed to do, the stress was minimal (I actually ran into the girls several times during the day), and the girls had a great time. We did it again the next year but after that my daughter wanted something bigger.

Have a great time and relax with the girls!
