Recipe: Black Currant Nectar Bread

Black Currant Nectar Bread

2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup raw sugar
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup black currant juice
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup currants
1/2 cup flaked almonds

Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

Mix together the flour, baking powder, raw sugar, salt, eggs, black currant juice and melted butter. Fold through the currants and almonds. Turn this batter into a greased and floured 9x9x2-inch-baking pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool slightly. Cut into squares.
