Recipe(tried): Starbucks Ginger Molasses Cookies - Flavor Balance

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
This is a good recipe, but the balance of flavors is not quite right. I wonder if it would work better with half white sugar and half brown sugar. Maybe also add a very small amount of allspice and/or cloves.
