Misc.

I was looking in my hawaiian electric company cookbook and i saw a recipie for rice pilaf. i posted recipies for fried rice earlier, but i dont know if this is what you are looking for instead. anyway, here it is:
Rice Pilaf
1/2 c butter or margarine
2 c long grain rice
1 can mushrooom stems and pieces, drained
3/4 c chopped green onions
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
6 c chicken or beef broth
Preheat electric oven to 450 degrees. In a large skillet, melt butter. Add rice and cook until golden brown, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Transfer to a 3 quart casserole;cover and bake for 45 minutes or until rice is fluffy. Makes 8 servings.
