Recipe: Robb's Favorite Pecan Pie

Robb's Favorite Pecan Pie

1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/3 cup dark corn syrup or molasses
3 tablespoons sweet, unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch salt
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
1 single crust pie shell

Preheat oven to 375F. Whisk together sugar and eggs until blended, but do not beat until frothy. Add white and dark corn syrups, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend well and stir in pecan halves. Pour filling into pie shell and bake on lowest shelf in oven for 45-50 minutes, or until filling is set. Cool on wire rack to room temperature before serving.
