ONE DISH CHICKEN LO MEIN

1 tbsp dark sesame oil
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken, cut up 2-inch pieces
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup water
1 tbsp ground ginger
1/8 crushed red pepper flakes
3 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 large clove garlic, minced
8 oz spaghetti, uncooked
1 (12 oz.) package frozen broccoli, carrots, red pepper, and water chestnuts
In skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; brown chicken. Remove to plate.
In same pan bring broth, 1 cup water, ginger, pepper, teriyaki sauce and garlic to boiling. Add spaghetti; cover and simmer for 8 minutes or until spaghetti is al dente, stirring often.
Stir in vegetables and chicken. Bring to a boil; boil for 4 minutes.
TEXAS BBQ POT ROAST

1 (4 lb) beef roast, chuck or bottom round
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 large onion, chopped
2 large cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 tsp. thyme (optional)
12 rolls
Heat oven to 300 degrees F.
Brown meat in oil in a large ovenproof Dutch oven fpr 15 minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients, except the rolls, to the pot (I did not use thyme). Bring to boil.
Place in the oven, cover and bake at 300 degrees for 3 to 4 hours, turning meat every hour, until tender. Let stand at least 30 minutes in pan.
Slice and serve on rolls with sauce.
EASY SUPERBOWL CHILI

1 lb ground beef
1 can pork and beans
1 jar salsa
1 can kidney beans
Chili powder, to taste
Simmer until the guys are ready for it Than you can get back to the computer.
CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE

1 cup sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup milk
1 graham cracker crust
2 pkgs. (4-serving-size) instant chocolate pudding
1 (16 oz.) container whipped topping, thawed, divided use
Shaved chocolate pieces (optional, to garnish)
Combine sugar and cream cheese; mix until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread into bottom of pie crust.
Next mix together (dry) pudding mix and milk until smooth then fold in remaining whipped topping. Spread over cream cheese layer. Chill until firm.
Garnish with shaved chocolate pieces, if desired.
HERSHEY BAR PIE

1 graham cracker crumb crust
1 (7 oz.) Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar, broken into pieces
1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed (3 1/2 cups)
In medium microwave bowl, place candy pieces. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until chocolate is smooth when stirred;c ool slightly.
Fold in whipped topping into melted chocolate. Spoon into pie crust. Refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
HERSHEY ALMOND PIE

6 (regular size) Hershey almond bars
1/2 cup milk
15 marshmallows (about 1/4 lb)
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream, whipped
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell, cooled or graham cracker shell
Chop chocolate bars into small pieces and melt in double boiler with milk. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Chill mixture thoroughly.
Fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture and pour into cool pie shell. Chill until firm (overnight for best results).
Top with whipped cream and serve.
HERSHEY CAKE

If I am taking the Hershey Cake to party or work I cut in squares and put in decorated Xmas, Halloween, or Birthday cupcake papers.
DO NOT use electric mixer!!
With a wooden spoon cream together:
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Stir in one at a time, mixing well after each:
4 eggs
Stir in:
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey syrup
1 cup flour
Pour into greased and floured 13x9-inch pan.
Bake in 350 degree F oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
As soon as cake comes from oven, prepare icing.
ICING
In a saucepan bring to a boil:
1 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
1/4 cup milk
Boil for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and add:
4 plain Hershey Bars (regular size, they come 6 in a pack)
Stir till smooth. Pour on hot cake.
Sprinkle with:
Chopped nuts, optional (I sometimes do half the top with nuts.)
Let cool and refrigerate. Cut into squares.
TRIPLE FUDGE BROWNIES

1 (4 serving size) package instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups milk
1 (18.25 ounce package of chocolate cake mix
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Confectioners sugar (to garnish)
Ice cream (optional, for serving)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 15x10-inch baking pan.
Prepare pudding mix according to package directions using the 2 cups milk. Whisk in the (dry) cake mix. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly touched.
Dust with cooled brownies with confectioner's sugar. Serve with ice cream if desired.
CABBAGE CASSEROLE

1 large head cabbage, shredded
1 (10 oz) pkg cheddar cheese, shredded, divided use (depending how much cheese you like)
1 (10 3/4 oz) can Campbell's Condensed Cheddar Cheese soup
1 soup can milk
1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
Put cabbage in salted boiling water and cook until done. Drain and place in a 13x9-inch baking dish.
Set aside 1/2 to 1 cup of the cheese (for the top) and mix the remaining cheese through the cooked cabbage; set aside.
Make a sauce with (undiluted) soup and milk, mixing together well together. Add to the cabbage and mix to combine. Top with the remaining cheese. Sprinkle the cracker crumbs over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
ENJOY !!!
ZUCCHINI CASSEROLE

Makes 6 servings
4 medium zucchini, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 (7 oz) can green chiles, drained
1 (16 oz) jar Cheese Whiz
Line casserole dish with zucchini. Spread onions on top. Add green chiles and spoon on Cheese Whiz. Cover with foil.
Bake at 350 degrees F until zucchini is tender, about 45 minutes. Check tenderness with fork.
CREAMY CAULIFLOWER SOUP

1 medium onion, chopped
3 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. butter or margarine
3 cubes chicken bouillon
3 cups water
2 cups small cauliflower florets (frozen or fresh)
1 1/2 cups milk or cream
1 cup grated cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Saute onion and flour in margarine. Add bouillon cubes, 3 cups water and cauliflower. Cook over low heat until cauliflower is tender.
Add milk and heat through. Stir in cheese until melted. Season to taste.
MONKEY BREAD

Yield: 6 servings
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
3 cans refrigerated biscuit dough
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
Place pecans in bottom of Bundt pan; set aside.
Combine cinnamon and sugar. Cut each biscuit into quarters and roll in sugar mixture. Stack biscuits in prepared pan.
Combine butter and brown sugar. Pour over biscuits.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes.
MONKEY BREAD (FRIENDSHIP BREAD)

4 can Ballard (refrigerated) biscuits; cut in 4ths
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
FOR THE GLAZE:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Toss the quartered biscuits in sugar/cinnamon mix and drop each into a greased Bundt pan. Use about half of the pieces.
Mix glaze ingredients together; bring to low boil. Pour over pieces in pan. Add the remaining sugared biscuits and cover with rest of glaze.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
Turn out on plate and enjoy.
CROCKPOT POTATOES AND HAM

6 cups potatoes, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups cubed ham
1 cup shredded American cheese
1 (10 3/4) ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon thyme
In slow cooker, layer half of each of the potatoes, onion, ham and cheese; repeat layers.
In small bowl, combine (undiluted) soup, milk and thyme; pour over top.
Cover crock pot and cook on HIGH setting for 1 hour. Reduce to LOW setting and cook for 6 to 8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
