Recipe: Baked Pears (2)
Misc. You should be able to make either of these work:
BAKED PEARS
2 lg. cans pears, reserve juice
1 to 1 1/2 c. sugar
Cloves
Cinnamon
3 slices toast, crumbled
3 tbsp. butter
Slice pears and lay in baking dish. Add sugar and sprinkle with cloves and cinnamon. Spread crumbed toast over top and cover with reserved pear juice. Put butter pats on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
BAKED PEARS
Sugar-cinnamon mixture
1/3 c. honey
Graham crackers
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 (16 oz.) cans pear halves
If pear halves are large, increase cream cheese to 2 packages, and increase honey to 1/2 cup. Crush graham crackers; mix sugar and cinnamon. Mix cream cheese and honey until smooth. Spoon into drained pears. Pour some pear juice over pears. Sprinkle graham crackers and cinnamon over pears. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
