BAKER'S ONE BOWL CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES
2 pkg (8 ounces each) Baker's Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, divided use
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
Chop coarsely 8 squares (1 package) chocolate in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 1-2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Stir in brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla with wooden spoon until well blended. Stir in flour and baking powder. Stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts, if using. Drop by scant 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute. Cool completely on wire racks.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen large cookies
