Recipe(tried): baking soda and beans

Side Dishes - Beans
I soak the beans, overnite. Cook until almost done. Then put in baking soda to decrease the gas caused by the beans. My mom used to do this. It will foam all up. Make sure you take pot off stove and set in sink. Then rinse beans until soda is all gone. Hope that makes sense!
