Recipe(tried): Beef Brisket

Misc.
Hello Gail, Beef Brisket is Big in Texas, we were at a BBQ last fall and I had the very best beef brisket that I had ever eaten, the cook gave me his recipe for the meranade to use before cooking. He used a large smoker, I used a slow cooker and got wonderful results.

1-3 pound beef brisket
1/4 cup of dark soy sauce
2 teaspoons of liquid smoke
1 tablespoon of corn oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 cloves of garlic, sliced,

Mix the soy, liquid smoke, oil, garlic and pepper, put brisket in a covered container with meranade and leave over night, wrap in foil and cook for 8 hours in cooker.
