Recipe: Beef Casserole/Shepherd's Beef Pie

Main Dishes - Casseroles
Not sure if this will help, but I found it in an old Woman's Day Encyclopedia of Cookery.

You will need to make the "Beef Stew" part for the base.

Beef Stew:

2 c. diced, cooked beef
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) beef gravy
1 can (1 pound) onions, drained
1 pkg. (10 oz.)frozen peas and carrots, cooked & drained
1 can (16 oz.) green beans, drained

Mix all ingredients together. Make a ring of seasoned mashed potatoes around the edge of the casserole. Bake in a preheated hot oven (400 degrees) for about 20 minutes.

NOTE***The recipe can be altered to suit your tastes. You can mix and match your veggies, and I imagine that you can use fresh, sauteed onions instead of canned ones. I do hope that this recipe helps.
