Recipe(tried): Better than Sex Cake (using cake mix, sweetened condensed milk, and Heath toffee bars)
Desserts - CakesHi Elaine - this is the recipe you're looking for and it uses Heath Bars, or Heath toffee chips rather than Milky Way -
Here's my recipe - it's the one on the package of German Chocolate Cake that I use.
BETTER THAN SEX CAKE
1 box (2 layer size) German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 jar Mrs. Ricard's butterscotch/caramel sauce for ice cream
1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
2 Heath bars, crushed (or one pkg. crushed Heath toffee bits - found in chocolate chip baking section)
Bake cake as directed. Let cool on rack for 15-20 minutes.
Then take large wooden spoon handle and poke holes all over surface of the cake about 1/2 inch apart.
Then pour the can of condensed milk, then the jar of caramel/butterscotch sauce over all the holes in the cake evenly. Refrigerate several hours.
Then spread the Cool Whip over surface of cake, and sprinkle the crushed heath bits over the top. Refrigerate again until ready to serve.
It's sinfully rich and delicious! Enjoy -
