Recipe: Simple Strawberry Cobbler (with a drop biscuit topping)

SIMPLE STRAWBERRY COBBLER



FOR THE FILLING:
6 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons Argo OR Kingsford's Corn Starch
1 pint strawberries, sliced (about 2 cups)
1 teaspoon lemon juice

FOR THE BISCUIT TOPPING:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoons Argo Baking Powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon Mazola Vegetable Plus! OR Corn Oil

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

TO PREPARE THE FILLING:
Combine 6 tablespoons sugar and corn starch in a 1 to 1.5-quart casserole. Add strawberries and lemon juice; toss to coat. Set aside.

TO PREPARE THE BISCUIT TOPPING:
Whisk flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Stir milk and oil into flour mixture until a soft dough forms. Drop biscuit topping in 4 mounds on top of filling.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve warm.
