Cabbage, Carrot and Apple Salad

2 cups cabbage,shredded
2 cups carrots, shredded
1 1/3 cups apples, diced small
1/4 cup french dress dressing
1/2 Tbsp. sugar
Dash of salt
Pinch of pepper

Combine cabbages, carrots and apples in a bowl. Pour dressing over all. Add salt and pepper, and toss well.

Dressing:
3/4 cup salad oil
2 Tbsp. olive oil
6 Tbsp. cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

In a covered cruet or jar, combine the dry ingredients, add vinegar and water. Shake to dissolve sugar, add the oils and shake.
