Recipe(tried): Cheesecake Factory Mile High Meatloaf - Variations
Misc.I made the Mile High Meatloaf, potatoes and gravy and our dinner was a HUGE success. We also purchased "to go" containers for everyone to take home their leftovers! I would definitely make this again.
I MADE THE FOLLOWING RECIPE MODIFICATIONS:
Meatloaf:
Veal wasn't available, so I used an additional 1/2 lb of ground beef (per butcher's recommendation)
Gravy: I used fresh, sliced baby bellas instead of processed mushrooms; it was to die for!!
Potatoes:
followed the recipe exactly; they were delicious!
Carmelized Onions:
didn't make, instead used Oreida frozen onion rings (they're nice and thick; CCF serves meal with onion rings, not carmelized onions)
To serve, we fixed each plate in the following order:
drizzle a little gravy over center of plate; top with:
1" slice of meatloaf
potatoes;
onion ring;
1" meatloaf;
potatoes;
onion ring;
top all with gravy
Our "Mile High Meatloaf" Connoisseurs were so impressed!
