SOUTHERN PUDDING FROM 1935
1 cup raw carrots, grated
1 cup sweet potatoes, grated
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup raisins
Combine carrots, sweet potatoes, butter and sugar.
Sift together flour, spices, salt and baking soda and add to carrot
mixture. Add raisins.
Bake in a covered baking dish 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees F.
