Hi Cherrie,
I was mildly surprised when we went to eat at Carraba's and they served us the little plate with olive oil and herbs.
This is widely used in Spain and in Latin American countries but I had no idea that Italians also like to dip their bread in herbed olive oil.
This is what we use which is very similar to Carraba's.
Olive oil
1/4 t. oregano
salt and pepper to taste
dried sweet red pepper flakes
1/4 t. dried parsley
1/8 t. garlic powder
or you can use the spices that are in the Montreal Steak Seasoning container. That's real good!!
Enjoy! Gina
