Recipe: Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread (McCalls Great American Recipe Cards)

CHOCOLATE CHIP PUMPKIN BREAD

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
2 cups canned pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
1 1/4 cups oil
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Chocolate chips as desired (at least 1/2 cup)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans (9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/4-inches).

Place all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Add wet ingredients and blend. Stir in chocolate chips.

Divide batter between prepared loaf pans.

Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F.

Cool.
