CHOCOLATE-DIPPED BROWNIES
1 package Betty Crocker walnut brownie mix
4 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 tablespoon shortening
Chocolate sprinkles
Plain and toasted flaked coconut
Grated semisweet chocolate
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 round pans 9 x 1 1/2 inches.
Prepare brownie mix as directed on package except - divide batter evenly between pans.
Bake 20 minutes. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely on wire rack.
Cut each brownie layer into 8 wedges.
Heat chocolate and shortening in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
Dip cut edges of each brownie into chocolate mixture immediately sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles, coconut or grated chocolate (If chocolate mixture hardens while dipping, heat over low ht, stirring constantly.)
Makes 16 brownies
