I LOVE this cake! I think the recipe came from this site. Everyone asks about the recipe when taste this. The blueberries give it a texture like melted chocolate chips are in it. I have made this successfully using egg replacement.
BLUEBERRY PIE CHOCOLATE CAKE
3 eggs
less then 1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 (18 1/2 oz) package Pillsbury German Chocolate Cake mix
1 can blueberry pie filling
whipped cream (optional, for serving)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix eggs, water and oil. Beat well then add dry cake mix. You do not have to mix it in super thoroughly, just so everything is moistened.
Add blueberry pie filling and mix maybe 2-3 turns -- you don't want to break up all the berries.
Pour into a greased (not floured) 9x13 dish. Tamp bottom of pan on countertop to remove some of the air bubbles and even out the mixture.
Bake 350 for 30-40 minutes. Top springs back a bit when touched, top still looks moist but really isn't. Knife test does not work on this with the blueberries in there. Mine took the full 40 minutes.
Top individual servings with dollops of whipped cream if desired.
Good warm or cold.
