Mixes and Food Gifts
Choose which recipe you wish to use {I used M&Ms Cookie Mix}

1. multiply the dry ingredient ammounts by 12
2. refer to an appropriate cups to weight chart eg 4 oz flour = 1 cup
3. calculate how much in oz/lb are required

M&M's COOKIE MIX

1 1/4 cups sugar 6 lb 9 oz
1 cup M&Ms 4 1/2 lb
2 cups flour mixed with 6 lb
1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1 oz
1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 oz

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Divide evenly between 12 jars.
Written on a card attached to each individual jar [make 12 copies]:

Empty mix in large bowl; stir to combine. Add 3/4 cup softened butter, 2 eggs slightly beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla; mix until completely blended. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 2-1/2 dozen.

NOTE: the "to make" instructions remain as for a single jar - only the jar ingredients are bulk.
