Recipe(tried): Cooky's Banana Bread - That was the best banana bread hands down!
Breads - Muffins, Quick BreadsHey, thanks for the banana bread recipe! After travelling to many places that claim to make the best banana breads, I must say, nothing compares to Cookies banana bread.
After trying MANY different recipes, i finally came up with something that I think compares.
5 seriously over ripe bananas (must be black!)
1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
2 eggs
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup finely grated cinnamon graham crackers
1 cup granulated sugar
2 packets banana bread flavored oatmeal, also finely grated
1 to 2 tablespoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 F.
First combine all the wet ingredients in a bowl. I used a potato masher to mix the bananas, butter, molasses, eggs, and vanilla.
In another bowl, I combined all the dry ingredients and slowly added it to the wet mixture. I used a whisk to combine the dry ingredients.
I poured the batter in a 9x9 inch cake pan and let it bake for 30 minutes.
Yum Yum Yum!
