Recipe(tried): Cool Veggie Pizza (using refrigerated crescent rolls)
Appetizers and SnacksADVERTISEMENT
This is not an appetizer that can be frozen, but it uses the crescent rolls, is really tasty, a great way to serve fresh veggies, and it's really pretty.
COOL VEGGIE PIZZA
1 pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese softened
1-1/2 tsp. mayonnaise
1 Tbs. dill weed
salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350 . Spread crescent roll dough only pizza pan (I use a Pampered Chef stone). Pinch seams together to seal. Bake 10 - 12 min. or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool completely. Blend together remaining ingredients and spread cream cheese mixture on top of cooled crust. Top with 4 or 5 of these toppings which can be chopped or thinly sliced: cucumbers, carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, onions, broccoli, tomatoes, or green or red peppers. (Choose a colorful variety to your taste). Sprinkle a layer of each over cheese layer and then refrigerate before serving.
Yield: 24 appetizer servings
