Recipe(tried): Corn Chowder

Soups
CORN CHOWDER

Corn chowder is so simple to make.

a few slices bacon, finely chopped
finely chopped onion
finely chopped celery or carrot (optional)
1 to 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
water or vegetable broth
1 (16 oz) can cream-style corn
1 (16 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained
cream (or a mixture of cream and milk)
salt and pepper
paprika (optional)

Saute bacon in large stockpot until fairly crispy.

Add onion and saute until transparent (You can also add celery and/or carrot also finely chopped).

Add potatoes and enough water or vegetable broth to cover. Bring to a boil and let cook (don't let it get too mushy).

Add creamed corn, whole kernel corn, cream (or a mixture of cream and milk depending on consistency you like), salt and pepper to taste. You can also add a touch of paprika for color.
