Recipe(tried): Corn Chowder

Soups

My husband made a great chowder this morning and I wanted to share it.

CORN CHOWDER

2 T butter
1/4 c. chopped onions
3 T flour
1/2 gal. milk
1 c. chopped ham
1 can corn
2 c. hash browns

Saute butter & onions; add flour, milk & hash browns. Bring to boil, simmer 15 min. Add ham & corn. Cook until thick.

This was the original recipe given to him, but he added more potatoes, corn, & ham. He also used sweet basil, fresh ground pepper, seasoning salt, and sea salt. The spices were to taste. I normally don't like chowders, but this is great! He cut his own hash browns, but I'm sure you could use frozen. He used a canned ham. Enjoy!
